Am I Eligible?

A Research Study That Includes A Minimally Invasive Treatment Option For Moderate Aortic Valve Stenosis

The purpose of the EXPAND II research study is to establish the safety and effectiveness of the EXPAN II transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedure for patients with moderate aortic stenosis. The study is sponsored by Medtronic.

If you have been diagnosed with moderate aortic stenosis you may qualify for this study. Similar to many research studies, the EXPAND II study is a randomized study. This means that you have a 50/50 chance of receiving either surgical aortic valve replacement or the Medtronic TAVR procedure. Regardless of which procedure you receive, the doctors and hospitals that participate in the study specialize in aortic valve therapy.
